Lea-Ann Belter will be joining us for Thanksgiving!!!
We are so happy to be hosting a Lea-Ann Belter Trunk show over Thanksgiving weekend.  This is always one of our busiest weekends of the year – and Lea-Ann is a great designer for us to profile.  We have carried her dresses in the store for about two years and we could not be happier with them.
Here are a few of our favorites!
And my personal favorite……
If there are any specific Lea-Ann gowns you want to see, give us a call and we will make sure that we have it here for you to try on!
We still have appointments available on this very busy weekend.  And as always, a special 10% discount will be offered off of any Lea-Ann Belter gown purchased during the trunk show!

Convent of the Sacred Heart Fashion Show 11/19/09

Filed under: Uncategorized — plumed @ 11:16 pm

It was such a thrill for me today to participate in the CSH Fashion show at the Rye Town Hilton today.  We were there with the Darien Sports Shop who showed off some incredible fashions!  Few things cuter than seeing 4 year old girls walk down the runway in high fashion and Tory Burch Reva flats!

When the girls graduate from Sacred Heart they wear long white dresses – (as I did when I graduated from there many years ago!)  So it was so much fun to “close” the show with three of our gowns.  Unfortunately an iPhone does not take the best pictures to start with – then try to take an action shot – and – well… can see the results!

The hustle and bustle before the show

Getting hair done

Pre-show jitters

“Action” shots going down the runway

My beautiful models – Maddy, Maddy & Maeghan

On a personal note – I want to thank Convent of the Sacred Heart for allowing me to participate in something that benefits the school.  It’s nice to be able to give back to an institution that gave me so much!

Ok – I did it – I bit the bullet.  I did what I swore I would never do……I am now “tweeting.”  I am a victim of peer pressure and yes, I did succumb.

OK, OK – it’s not that bad.  I am a little lost in Twitter world with all the references and tagging – but like anything else – I’m sure I will catch on soon.  I just hope I’m at least a little bit entertaining.  If I were being perfectly honest – my “tweets” would be more like “I need to get off Facebook and place some orders” rather than the glam world of bridal fashion – but I will do all I can to stay on topic!

Modern Trousseau’s new collection of Mother of the Occasion attire will be on display this weekend at the store.
As we have said time and time again – We LOVE this collection. It is perfect for the Mothers who come in and tell us “I am going to be the Mother of the bride/groom but I don’t want to look like the Mother of the bride/groom!”
(I have yet to met the mom who comes in and tells me she WANTS to look like the Mother of the bride/groom!)
Here is a preview of a few of their dresses from their latest collection. All of the gown are completely customizable and come in a variety of colors.

We still have appointments available this weekend for the trunk show so give us a call and we will work one on one with you to help you find the PERFECT dress for you occasion!! We look forward to seeing you there!

Junior League of Greenwich Fashion Show October 28, 2009

Filed under: Uncategorized — plumed @ 12:08 am

We were recently invited to participate at the Junior League of Greenwich’s fashion show for their debutante cotillion in Belle Haven this past Sunday. It was so exciting to participate, especially because the chair of the Cotillion committee is a former client, Jennifer Singer Stranzl who was married in Venice, Italy a few years ago.

We worked with some wonderful and sweet girls who couldn’t have been more excited to wear some beautiful gowns from Monique Lhuillier, Rivini, Anne Barge and some of our other wonderful designers. Here are some pictures (taken with my iPhone – so please excuse the quality) of the girls before they took the long walk to show the gowns!

I just love the classic look of kid leather gloves with white gowns!

Such a lovely view of the backyard from the house.
